We have been a long-term supporter of the American Cancer Society, scholarship funding, the Junior Olympic Foundation, the Special Olympics, and mentally challenged support programs. In addition, our team members participate in a number of local philanthropic works at locations across the country.
In addition, since 1960, CENTECH’s president has been an activist in support of initiatives and programs for the economic development of minority and women-owned businesses by playing significant roles in the development of the federal government’s 8(a) and Small Disadvantaged Business programs. As a company, we are also committed to sharing our knowledge, experience and resources to assist members of the small business community through our involvement in a wide range of activities that support the improvement and streamlining of programs designed to further develop small, small disadvantaged, and small woman-owned businesses.
On a volunteer basis and free of cost, CENTECH management offers the small, small disadvantaged and woman-owned business communities the following:
We provide management and technical assistance to potential business owners or
owners of new developing businesses. Counseling sessions are private, covered by a
confidentiality agreement and are held by appointments on Saturdays at our corporate
office.
CENTECH management will assist those firms located more than 100 miles from the
Washington, DC, metropolitan area in their marketing efforts by providing interim limited
office facilities, modest administrative support and technical training assistance.
CENTECH management supports the promotion and development of minority business
trade associations and minority Chambers of Commerce. Their support includes being founding members and providing significant ongoing support to The National Federation
of 8(a) Companies. CENTECH is currently a member and supports the mission of the
Black Presidents' Round Table, the Federation of Small Businesses, the Latin American
Management Association, the National Association of Minority Business, the National
Coalition of Minority Businesses, the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and the National Minority Supplier Development Council.
